"Mom,Mom, Mom, Mom......"

That is what I wake up to! I hear it in the morning. I hear it when I leave the room. I hear it ALL DAY LONG!......And it just melts my heart!

Hannah is growing fast! She'll be 8 months old next week! Sometimes I can't believe how fast time is really going. She is changing so fast, that at times I can hardly keep up with it! Her little personality is really blossoming. She gets so excited to see those that she knows. She just talks and talks! It makes me wonder what is going through her little head, as she tries so very hard to get me to understand. And her laugh! Oh my word, it is the sweetest thing!

She is starting to scoot across the floor. She gets up in her hands and knees but just pushes herself backwards. It won't be long though, before she is moving all over the house! She also just recently became an independent sitter. Every once in awhile she will fall over backwards, but is getting very good at bracing herself with her hands.

Everyday with her is a delight! She truly is a joy to be around! I am eagerly waiting to see what things she will learn next!

Grow baby, grow!

Wow! It has been a long time since I have posted. Well, we made it through the holidays. Thanksgiving, for one so small wasn't that exciting. She did have a wonderful time with Christmas though. She really caught on to opening presents. Once she realizes that she could rip the paper, there was really no stopping her. Of course she wanted to eat it! She received a lot of really nice things for Christmas. Let's see, she got a floor gym, a jumper, books, some little toys, a glow worm, pj's, and potty and a new car seat. We took her over to Grandma's house in the morning for breakfast, and then we just spent the rest of the day at home. Overall it was a very good day.

She is almost 6 months old! She is growing very fast. She can now roll over form her back to her tummy. She is saying Mama, and babbles like crazy! She has also developed a fascination with spitting. She is constantly spitting and making quite the mess. She is getting very good at eating solid foods. She eats rice cereal, bananas and applesauce. I make all of her food at home. She is not quite sitting up yet. She does try though.

She is constantly learning new things. She loves to sit with me and read her books. We have started to do sign language with her. She is not signing back yet, but she loves to watch us do it.

Happy Little Girl

Three months already! Boy, does time fly fast. So much is happening her little world! She has found that she can smile and loves to do it. Most mornings she will wake up a very happy baby, just smiling at the world around her. She has found herself in the mirror, and loves to lay on the changing table looking at herself. She will talk and smile and kick her legs. She loves to watch the baby in the mirror do the same things!

She is not quite rolling over, but she sure does try. She loves to try and scoot across the floor. She gets upset at the tile b/c she can't get a good grip with her feet. She is very alert now, and loves to look around. Sh will
sit there and just talk and talk if there is someone to talk back to her. She loves to kick her little legs, and grunt with every kick! She is a joy to have around! There is never a dull moment with her.

She loves to go to church, and even stays awake during service now. She also loves to go to her grandparents house, great grandparents house, and she loves her cousins. She loves to be held, so anywhere that has a lot of people to hold her, she is happy.

We can't wait for the rest of the family to meet her.

She got to attend her very first tea party the other day. She almost slept through the whole thing, but I woke her up, so that she could see what was going on. She loved the park with all the trees. She was very happy to lay on her blanket and just look around.

I can't wait for the next stage, and all of the things that will come with it!

Moose Baby!

Hannah is getting so big. Weighing in at well over ten pounds! A friend brought over her 6 day old daughter yesterday (barely 6 pounds) and she makes Hannah look like a moose baby! She's really starting to fill out. She has chubby little thighs and the most kissable chubby cheeks. Which daddy says, were made for his kisses!

She is discovering the use of her legs and likes to stand up all of the time. My favorite is when she's fussy, and daddy is trying to burp her. She'll be standing there, just crying away, but she refuses to sit down. Poor thing! She is getting very strong though.

She's also getting very vocal. We have heart to heart mother-daughter talks all the time. It's fun to talk with her, and listen to her change the sound of her voice to match my tone. I'm happy so she's happy and then I get all serious and she starts to get whiny. :)

She's doing really well at sleeping at night. For the most part, she sleeps six hours. She has started this new thing of thinking that she only needs to take one nap a day. So she will nap in the morning and be cranky the rest of the day and then pass out at 8:00. I'm trying to break her of that habit. It makes for some very long evenings.

5 weeks old already!

Hannah is five weeks old now. Wow! Where did all that time go? She is growing rapidly, and already weighs nine pounds! She's starting to feel really heavy. She is getting very good at holding her head up, and has many failed attempts at rolling over. She lays on the floor, picks her feet and head up, and arches her back, and daddy says she looks like flipper! She is such a joy to watch!

She started her adventures in cloth diapering the other day. I'm not sure se can tell the difference, but I really like them. They make her look like an oompa-loompa! It's so funny!

She's starting to get into longer sleep cycles. She's sleeping 5-6 hours at night now! That makes me very happy! We're working on getting her to fall asleep for naps by herself. It hasn't been easy.

We are all adjusting very well, and love being parents to such a beautiful little girl. God is very good to us!
